Shocked, Chuck, shocked am I that you would bring up Van Halen. If you had to choose 5 discs (and ONLY 5 discs, Mr.!) for my background listening enjoyment, which would you choose?

Just got back from seeing VH at Madison Square Garden and my ears are still ringing.

I can never name top CDs. How about top five guitarists?

Eddie Van Halen
Jimi Hendrix
Eric Clapton
Keith Richards
Tie between Joe Perry and David Gilmour

What, no Stevie Ray Vaughan? Or more in my vein, Django Reinhardt? I'll admit, I tend more towards the piano than guitar--I'm a slave to piano boogie.

How was the concert?

The show was awesome. Roth definitely sounded a lot better from the last time I saw him back in 2002 when he toured with Sammy Hagar. We haven't heard the classics live since the 1984 tour and it definitely shot you back in time. Had my 20 year high school reunion a couple months ago so it's been nostalgia time lately. I hope it's not a one time thing....

Yeah, I have to admit I've been playing the Stevie Ray Vaughan greatest hits disc lately....
